Take Me Home: January 9, 2009

Very soon, the new spay / neuter clinic will open at the York Region OSPCA. The clinic will provide the service for a nominal fee -- I believe it's $50, but I'll check and update if necessary. The Society is hoping to reap the benefits in the next few years with fewer unwanted kittens and puppies showing up on their doorstep. I'll let you know when it's up and running.

Only two cats today as I haven't been able to get up to the shelter to take more photos. I hope to include more dogs in the future. Click on the pics to enlarge:

Just under a year old, Kendra is such a sweetie (I mean, look at that face!). This affectionate kitty gets along well with other cats and loves to be patted. ADOPTED

Bear is a one-year-old female who loves people. Unlike Kendra, above, Bear would prefer to live in a one-animal home. MOVED TO CAMBRIDGE SHELTER

The centre (Mohill) is located at 16586 Woodbine Avenue, just south of Mulock/Vivian Sideroad. Their adoption hours are:

Monday to Wednesday & Saturday:
12 - 6 p.m.
Thursday & Friday: 12 - 7 p.m.
Sunday: 12 - 5 p.m.

For more information on these and the many other pets available, go to Petfinder.com or the OSPCA York Region Website.
