Take Me Home: January 24, 2009

You'll notice that some of the cats in earlier posts have been "Transferred to Cambridge Shelter". Unlike the York Region shelter, Cambridge didn't have any cats. If you'd like to check out their website, go here. The good news is that the first batch of cats sent have already been adopted. Let's keep up the momentum!

Here are just a few of the animals available at York Region OSPCA (click on photos to enlarge):

Aptly named Cleopatra is an adult female rabbit who gets along well with Guinea pigs. ADOPTED

Daisy, a Red Ear Slider turtle, is approximately five years old, and would be suitable for a family with knowledge of the breed.ADOPTED

Baily, a male, is just under a year old. He would enjoy a loving home and, as you can see, a place to sleep in the sun. ADOPTED

The centre (Mohill) is located at 16586 Woodbine Avenue, just south of Mulock/Vivian Sideroad. Their adoption hours are:

Monday to Wednesday & Saturday:
12 - 6 p.m.
Thursday & Friday: 12 - 7 p.m.
Sunday: 12 - 5 p.m.

For more information on these and the many other pets available, go to Petfinder.com or the OSPCA York Region Website.
